Local Liverpool Gift Guide

Local Liverpool Gift Guide

This year for Christmas presents I’m trying to keep it as local as possible. This means buying from one of the thousands of small businesses in our region. This year has been hard for everyone but small businesses have taken a real hit. I thought I’d share my favourite businesses from wines to prints in case you’re still looking for a couple of gifts and want to keep it local yourself. These companies all give incredible value and great service, so what are you waiting for? Pop your order in and help someone do their happy dance!

Fed up of paying a fortune to smell good? Try designer inspired fragrances for a fraction of the price!

I recently opted for a FM perfume and got my husband an aftershave to match. They smelt exactly like the branded scent that I was used to and lasted just as long, and it was half the price! All of the fragrances are made in the same factory as many designer fragrances, but contain a minimum of 20% perfume oil meaning they last ever longer!

There is a huge selection of fragrances and all bottles are 50ml and are priced between £16.90 – £26.50!

I order mine through Jenn. All her details are below and she is your go to for all your questions and orders about FM Fragrance. Facebook page is here and Instagram page can be found here.

Candle Collective are my go to for candles and wax melts. I have been a customer of Carol’s for almost two years now and I’m a huge supporter of her products. Her candles are amazing. They are made of soy wax and they are gently fragranced giving off the most beautiful scents. They burn cleanly and evenly and you can smell the scent even if they aren’t lit!

The wax melts are heaven as well. So easy for a hit of fragrance and my fave to light throughout the day, I have them everywhere. In our office, in my dressing room, in my hallway! I can’t get enough of them.

Candle Collective also offers an easy gifting range. This is where you can purchase a whole gift that is ready packaged and you can send direct to the recipient, also comes with a card and you can add your own personalised message. Great option for this current climate.

Scent wise, Candle Collective have 2 ranges: Signature Range and The Christmas Collection. Spoiler Alert: Candy Cane from The Christmas Collection for the win!

And to finish, I thought I’d mention some drinks. Because what is Christmas without a bevvie!?

Bacchus Wine Tasting is something we have discovered through Lockdown and it has literally been our lifesaver. Forcing us to have a bit of normality in our lives when things were, let’s face it, frankly quite shit! Jonathan is a wealth of knowledge of anything wine based and he knows his stuff. He takes out all of the snobbery that is usually associated with wine and helps you understand the different blends and grapes. Bacchus Wine Tastings offers both virtual and in person tastings, we’ve done both and they are fab. The virtual tastings are great as you get sent your wine, usually a minimum of  2 bottles (free delivery in Liverpool), a zoom link and on you go! Jonathan picks out special guests from the wineries to share their knowledge, not only in the chosen wines but also in the development, from vine to bottle. The evenings are great fun as you can literally join in from your sofa in your pj’s. There’s no pressure, everyone is muted apart from the presenters so nothing is stopping you from having a good gab while enjoying the wines.

The private tastings are great fun and when lockdown restrictions were lifted we had a ball at my late birthday celebrations. Johnathan literally brings everything from the chilled wines to the glassware! And what wines we had! We opted for the Explore Wine package and enjoyed 6 amazing wines including a supermarket choice!

Johnathan offers vouchers for his virtual tastings, private tastings, wine and cheese hampers so if you know any wine lovers this is definitely a sure fire hit of a gift!

For more details you can contact Johnathan on his socias here and check out his website here.
