    Our Thailand Adventure

We spent the first couple of weeks of dreary, rainy, miserable January in sunnier climates and it was heaven! We have never visited Asia before and it has been on my list for a good couple of years now and I fell in love with it that much that I’ve pretty much got our next 3 holidays planned! I attempted to daily vlog out there and I now have a new found respect for daily vloggers, lol! It took me a while to get into the swing of things and when I lost my day 1 to day 4 footage over a dodgy hard drive I nearly lost it but…

All hail the flat shoes ๐Ÿ™Œ

I actually can’t believe I’m writing a blog post about my love for flat shoes. It’s official…I’m old and I barely recognise myself. I was always a heels girl. Poor Adam met me in a time we’ll call P.U. (Pre Uggs). That was such a glamorous time. I was the girl about town, weekly shop done in heels, clothes shopping in town was always in at least a 4″ heel. Nights out, well that’s when the big boys came out, platforms, stripper heels, you name it I had them. I literally used to hop into a black cab to take me between drink stops of a Saturday night because I…

    My love for Skinny Tan.

I’ve not always been a Skinny Tan fan, if you are a long time follower of my YouTube you will remember I reviewed their gradual tanner a while back when I was young and very new to YouTube ๐Ÿ™ˆ and let’s just say it didn’t blow me away. You can check out the review here. Anyhow, swiftly moving on and 4 years later I’ve been gifted some fabulous products by Skinny Tan Hq and I’ve been trying them out for a week now and here are my thoughts ๐Ÿ‘‡ ๐Ÿ˜ I was sent the gradual tanner spf 30, the cooling aftersun with instant tanner and their gorgeous dual tanning mitt.…

    Why I won’t be Hinching

I’m just gonna throw it out there and say I’m not a fan of Mrs Hinch. I like a super clean house and if only I knew that filming me cleaning my bin would have made my Insta flare up I would have done it years ago. I’m actually gutted I never thought of sharing my cleaning routine until now. So now that I’m writing about cleaning my house I look like I’m trying to jump on the Hinch Army following. I’m not. I’m simply trying to show people another way to clean without using 54,683,833 cleaning products. Plus what’s with all the grey? And don’t even get me started…

    Happy Capitalist Rip Off Day!

I hate Valentine’s day. It’s official. Maybe it’s because I was never sent cards in school, maybe it’s because I can’t stand the massive consumer push behind it or maybe it’s simply because I’m an ice queen completely void of romance…you decide! Saying you don’t like Valentine’s day is like saying you don’t like kids. People can’t get their heads around it and it proper offends them. Let’s just say I’m not single AND I’m not going through a bad patch in my relationship! Honestly, the whole thing just makes me cringe! Like walking down the high street seeing window displays of heart-shaped balloons floating around with heart-shaped chocolates, heart-shaped…

    2018: My year in review.

Happy New Year! Now that 2018 is nearly over I thought now would be a perfect time for this blog post. I wanted to talk a little about 2018 and things I have learned, things to improve on, and things going forward. 2018 was a year that has taught me a lot. Mainly to realise that you arenโ€™t going to be everyoneโ€™s cup of tea. And you know what? Iโ€™m fine with that. I only want to surround myself with good people with good morals. Iโ€™m super lucky to have people in my life that are decent people with good souls, I value ALL of my friends and love them…

    My new sleeping partner

OK, so the title was total clickbait but I couldn’t resist! The lovely people at Bedtime Bliss sent over this sleep mask for me to try out and I was intrigued to give it a go. I mean, how different can eye masks be? I thought. Well, it turns out they can differ quite a bit. Iโ€™ve always had the bog-standard eye mask. You know the type; you may get one in a set for Christmas or even nick it from a long haul flight. This type. You can always guarantee there will be a slither of light that disturbs the promise of darkness and when you wake in the…

10 ways to make meal planning easier

There is only one New Year Resolution that I have stuck to this year and itโ€™s been meal planning. Last year I tried it and was only 50% successful thanks to a busy lifestyle and discovering the best ever kebab shop around the corner from us, thanks Just Eat! This year we have become the couple that no longer spontaneously go out for meals because โ€œIโ€™ve already got Tuesdayโ€™s dinner inโ€ but you know what? Iโ€™m so secretly proud of myself for actually smashing one New Yearโ€™s Resolution. In case you fancy becoming a hermit and eating in all winter, here are some tips to get you started along the…

    You’re fired!

Yesterday was fun. Myself and the rest of my department were made redundant. I started this new job back in July. It was supposed to be my new career after a life of being a professional dancer/choreographer. I was getting fed up with never being at home, always working, no pension, no paid holidays, no security(!) Instead, it turned out to be a short-lived career full of disappointment, a gain in weight and a life lesson. Before this job, I had been self-employed for most of my working life, and now having worked in a โ€œ9 to 5โ€ I can honestly say that ย I am not made for that life.…

    Festival Themed Make up

I was wandering around Primark last week and found a packet of festival face gems, they looked so interesting that I had to buy them. Next thing I know, I’m at home filming a video with a glittery purple and pink eye and gluing gems to my face. It turned out quite well actually, check out the video below and let me know your thoughts. Much Love, BBB x
